Privacy policy

Crane Docs helps you create, fill, share, and sign documents. This policy explains how we handle information when you use cranedocs.com. For questions or privacy requests, contact pavel@abseil.ai.
Information we handle
- Account information: your email address, authentication identifiers, and basic profile information supplied by your chosen sign-in provider.
- Documents and responses: uploaded files, templates, field values, form responses, signatures, generated PDFs, and related versions and processing records.
- Service records: account activity, usage, security and error records. Signing records can include signer names and emails, consent, timestamps, browser information, and a hashed IP address.
How we use and share information
We use this information to sign you in, maintain your workspace, process documents, provide the sharing and signing features you choose, send sign-in emails, respond to support requests, and protect the service from misuse.
Cloudflare hosts the service and stores application and document data. Supabase handles authentication, and Resend delivers sign-in emails. Google or Microsoft processes its sign-in flow when you select it. These providers may process information in countries other than your own. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Responses submitted through a form or signing link are available to the workspace operating it. People with shared links may be able to view documents or download results. Webhooks can send information to destinations selected by the workspace owner. External images in shared forms can contact their image hosts.
Google sign-in
Google sign-in requests only basic identity information, such as your name, email, and profile picture, to identify and secure your account. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, or Calendar. We do not use Google account data for advertising or sell it. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Cookies, storage, and your choices
We use cookies for sign-in, security, and interface preferences. Workspace records and documents remain stored to support saved work and document history. Archiving a template or expiring a link does not delete its files.
You can export available workspace data and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may remain in backups or where needed for security or legal obligations. Disconnecting Google or Microsoft does not itself delete your Crane Docs workspace. If you submitted information to someone else’s workspace, contact that workspace owner about your submission.
